Spurgeons offers free parent support appointments
During 11-14th May Spurgeons is offering the chance for parents to speak to one of our Family Practitioners for free!
Ask Spurgeons Anything is a week long event where parents of teens and tweens can book a place to talk to a professional for support and advice.
What can our Family Practitioners assist with?
Our staff can advise you on a number of parenting challenges, including:
-bullying
-online safety
-exam stress
-behaviour
-family relationships
-puberty
-neurodiversity
-family separation.
Please note that Ask Spurgeons Anything is not a counselling service. For mental health concerns regarding your child, please contact your GP or get in touch with our counselling service. If your situation feels urgent or you cannot wait, please call the Samaritans on 116 123 or dial 999.
How can I book a place?
Spaces are limited so book now here. There's no referral, no waiting list, just a simple form. In the week before the event you will be sent an email with a Zoom link for joining.
Simply turn up on the day and join the conversation- an experienced Family Support Worker will be there, ready for you.
Teenage struggles
Our family support team work with families across the country, offering support and advice to parents 1-1. They can help with everyday parenting difficulties, helping to build bonds and overcome challenges.
Around a quarter of teenagers experience bullying. In addition, a quarter of teenage girls' mental health is affected by spending time online. Plus, 85% of students report feeling stressed by exams. These statistics are a mere snapshot of the difficulties that teenagers can go through.
Ask Spurgeons Anything provides a unique opportunity to speak to a trained professional about supporting your child.
